About the Role:
As an Obsolete Inventory Specialist, you will play a key role in identifying and managing slow-moving and obsolete inventory. Your primary responsibility will be to strategically sell excess stock through various online platforms while ensuring accurate inventory tracking and exceptional customer service.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify and manage slowmoving or obsolete inventory, including equipment no longer used in manufacturing.
- Set up and maintain online sales accounts, ensuring compliance with platform contracts and pricing structures.
- Write compelling product descriptions, capture highquality product images, and optimize listings for maximum visibility.
- Handle customer inquiries, process sales transactions, and coordinate timely shipments.
- Collaborate with the shipping department to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in online selling and inventory management.
- Maintain records of sales, transactions, and financial reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Prior online selling experience is required (eBay, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, or similar).
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
- Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets and
inventory tracking software.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., sit/stand for extended periods, and work in a warehouse environment.
