What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Quality Electrical Systems?
Quality Electrical Systems is a fast-growing company that is revolutionizing the industrial electrical industry in Utah. We seek a Senior Staff Accountant to play a pivotal role in our finance team who will assist in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. Must have excellent analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial accounting, a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles reporting and compliance, and the ability to oversee various accounting functions to support our organization’s financial health. Any accounting in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
This position is based fully on-site at our facility and does not offer remote or hybrid work options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet account
- Maintaining fixed assets, prepaids, and other balance sheet schedules
- Monitoring job cost and profitability
- Assisting with annual audit preparations and other bank requirements
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
- Preparing financial analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on GAAP compliance and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
