We are seeking an experienced Welding Manager to lead and develop our welding team in a fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with a strong background in welding and metal fabrication, dedicated to employee development and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will oversee daily production operations, ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, and cultivate a collaborative environment where team members can grow their skills.
Responsibility:
- Supervise Welding Operations Oversee daily welding
activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Ensure Safety Compliance Enforce safety regulations and
proper use of welding equipment, PPE, and workplace procedures.
- Monitor Quality Control Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and adherence to company and industry standards.
- Train and Mentor Welders Provide guidance, technical support, and handson training to welding team members.
- Optimize Workflow Coordinate schedules, assign tasks, and manage resources to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot Issues Identify and resolve weldingrelated defects, equipment malfunctions, or process inefficiencies.
- Maintain Equipment Ensure welding tools and machinery are properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with Other Departments Work closely with
production, engineering, and quality control teams to meet project specifications.
- Document and Report Maintain records of welding activities, inspections, and any necessary corrective actions.
- Support Continuous Improvement Implement process
improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and overall welding performance.
Experience & Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a metal shop welding environment with handson welding expertise.
- Proven track record in leading teams and developing skilled welders in a production setting.
- Strong knowledge of various welding techniques,
metal fabrication processes, and production workflows.
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Additional Requirements
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and quality
control processes.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to a production shop environment including noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Fastpaced setting with a focus on meeting production
deadlines and maintaining high safety and quality standards.
