Summary
The General Manager is responsible for the daily supervision of shop employees and oversees all in process work to ensure our customer’s delivery dates are achieved. A successful candidate will have a machinist background, preferably in at a job shop with fixturing and tooling experience, and has been a shop foreman or has other leadership experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Supervision
· Shop Foreman of all build jobs.
· Daily supervision of shop employees and shipping and receiving
· Review new jobs with employees to ensure the process plan is followed.
· Review in-process jobs and assist employees with questions and troubleshooting of problems.
· Conduct annual performance reviews.
· Implement extra training for employees as needed.
· Review margin summary for job overages and document findings.
· Schedule shop employees’ hours and monitor overtime.
Planning & Expediting
· Review all in process jobs regularly to monitor their progress and to prioritize and expedite.
· Assign jobs and review jobs with employees who will run the job.
· Prioritize workflows to meet shipping goals and customer delivery requirements.
· Update ship log daily and adjust monthly sales goals as needed.
· Supervise scheduling of drivers to make deliveries and pick-ups as needed
· Ensure vendors get material & hardware as needed in a timely manner.
Experience
· 5 years of manufacturing supervision.
· 3 years of commercial or military service tooling
· Strong understanding of the manufacturing process.
· High level of skill in reading mechanical and assembly drawings.
· 5 Years or More in the Metal Fabrication/CNC Machining Industry.
· Proficient in Windows and Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
· Excellent attention to detail in accuracy of documentation.
Salary
The following salary reflects the experience listed above, pay above this will be considered for additional experience.
Expected hours: 40 to 45 per week
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
