We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant to join us in our Fuquay-Varina store.


Performs various accounting duties according to dealership policy including but not limited to recording transactions, preparing financial information and reports, performing account reconciliations, and handling customer and vendor request.  


 

 Responsibilities:

 

  1. Prepares various daily, monthly, and annual financial reports or statements.
  2. Records routine or recurring transactions.
  3. Makes necessary corrections and/or adjustments to receive accurate report information.
  4. Performs basic account reconciliations.
  5. Strong Communication and organizational skills while working with others in the organization to answer accounting questions or resolve issues.
  6. Excellent customer service skills, while building working relationships with our clients and vendors.
  7. Run Monthly or Year end reports and programs as required.
  8. Required to be knowledgeable on how all accounting programs work and training of employees as required.
  9. Assist in preparing monthly and annual returns.
  10. Assist and provide all required information for internal and external audits.
  11. Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
  12. Ability to secure and handle cash.
  13. Conduct oneself in the presence of customers in a manner befitting the image of the company.
  14. Learns, adapts, improves various functions within the accounting department to provide assistant during peak seasons, absences and the ability to train new employees.
  15. Participates in training programs as appropriate with job requirements.
  16. Must be able to work well with peers and customers to solve problems and achieve goals using accepted company behavior.
  17. Perform other duties as so directed by management in line with the objectives of the organization.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

 

  1. 2 years or equivalent work experience in related field.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance discipline preferred.
  3. Understands accounting fundamentals such as debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and has knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  4. Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and accounting applications.
  5. Experience with a diverse range of manufacturers and machines, preferred but not required.
  6. Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
  7. Ability to use independent judgement and to manage and impart confidential information.
  8. Ability to train employees, to provide organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  9. Ability to speak and listen effectively one on one or within a group.
  10. Strong Microsoft Excel skills along with the ability to use standard desktop applications and internet functions.

 

Physical Demands:

 

  • Noise Levels: Medium to High.
  • Weight Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Mobility: Squatting, bending, climbing, lifting, reaching, twisting, standing, sitting   and repetitive keyboarding for long durations of time.
  • Visual: Working with PC, online content, manuals and close detailed work.
  • Driving: Daily – Short and long distances.
  • Work Environment: Exposure to extreme weather, fumes, airborne particles and moving mechanical parts.
  • Dexterity: Ability to grasp and manipulate tools, equipment and machines.
