Press Brake Machine Operator - Quality Fabrication & Design
Quality Fabrication & Design is a custom stainless steel snack food processing equipment manufacturer since 1987.
Scope:
Candidates must have experience working in a manufacturing environment exclusively stainless steel. The brake press machine operator performs machine set up, determine layout dimensions, markings, and bending. Ability to position plates on the press for forming, and operating handling equipment for removal of formed pieces. Applicants must have minimal 10 years of experience. Manual Machine NOT CNC
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setting up and operating brake press equipment (Accurpress)
- Read & Interpret Blueprints
- Using Blueprint drawings as guide to layout, work within tolerances to assure accuracy and to meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Ability to read tape measure, angle finder, and other necessary measuring devices.
- Operates Brake press and runs production
- Uses inspection gauges such as calipers, micrometers, squares, and height gauges to perform quality checks on parts
- Uses all necessary safety equipment and procedures to prevent injury to himself/herself/personnel.
- Operates other equipment like dragon, saw
- Making products to exact specifications, per plan & customer requirements
- Maintain order and cleanliness in department
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Ability to operate CNC Tube & Pipe Plasma Cutter
- Verifying Computer Model Matches Hardcopy Prints
- Creating Cut List to Maximize Material Usage
- Organizational Skills
- Operating Stationary Bandsaws
- Forklift Experience
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
· Minimal 5 years’ experience
· Experience with machine operation in manufacturing fields
· Ability to handle physical workload
· Strong Understanding of Quality Control
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Reach with hands and arms
· Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
· Must be capable of bending, stooping, crawling under or over on occasions
WORK ENVIRONMENT (LOUD)
· Abnormal level of noise due to grinding, chipping, hammering, requires hearing protection(earplugs) to be worn at all times.
· The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts
· The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places
· The employee will be in a non-climate control manufacturing facility
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:30 - 3:00 pm, Fridays 6:30 am - 2:30 pm
Job Type: Full-time
