Quality Fleet Service is looking for an experienced Assistant Service Manager to join our team. We are an authorized dealer of Hyundai Construction Equipment, Liebherr, Bell Trucks, Manitou, Eggersmann, Rockster, and Bandit Equipment. Quality Fleet Service is also a full service, parts, and warranty repair center, specializing in forestry machinery, utility equipment, as well as light and heavy trucks. We are the area’s leading authorized repair facility for CAT, Kubota, Perkins, Kohler, Isuzu, Deutz, Cummins, and Scania diesel engines.
Responsibilities for the Assistant Service Manager position include:
- Maintain a positive attitude while leading our service team in an efficient and productive manner
- Offer exemplary customer service; maintain customer relationships, advise on available products and services, and take care of any customer concerns or complaints quickly and professionally to ensure repeat business
- Effectively manage team members, including technicians and advisors, to ensure team objectives and sales goals are being carried out and met
- Maintain the service desk, including managing service team members and performing administrative tasks
- Monitor department issues and client complaints to define patterns and work to lessen those recurring issues
- Regularly audit work being done and customer service being provided to ensure all standards are met and that repair work is carried out effectively, correctly, and thoroughly
- Set reportable metrics to measure and maintain and improve the performance and health of the company's service department
Qualifications required for Service Manager:
- Bring to the position previous service experience and sufficient industry knowledge to respond to customer and service associate inquiries as well as to technician concerns
- Must be able to work in a high paced setting
- Display an aptitude for troubleshooting and creative problem solving
- Must be comfortable being on the service floor and on your feet throughout the day while monitoring service Associates and Technicians
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds in order to properly serve customers if required
- Demonstrate working computer knowledge of essential programs such as word, excel, and billing software
- Demonstrate the characteristics of a strong leader, overseeing an entire department and leading by example
- Must be an excellent communicator and speaker on the phone, in written interactions, and in face-to-face customer service interactions
