Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Document Coordinator to assist with gathering and managing medical documents necessary for wellness visits. This role involves working closely with providers to ensure timely completion of required documentation, as well as coordinating the return of documents to medical groups, health plans, and provider offices. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicative, and proactive in supporting the healthcare team's efficiency and ensuring a smooth flow of information.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and organize medical documents related to wellness visits for providers' review and completion
- Ensure all required forms, reports, and medical records are obtained and accurate
- Coordinate with medical groups, health plans, and provider offices to send completed documents back for review or processing
- Maintain accurate records of document status and follow up with providers or offices as necessary to ensure timely completion
- Communicate with healthcare providers and office staff to clarify and resolve any issues related to document requirements or wellness visit processes
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality guidelines when handling medical records
- Provide support to the healthcare team in managing wellness visit documentation needs
- Track document submission and follow up to ensure timely processing
- Assist with general administrative tasks related to document management as needed
Qualifications:
Medical Assistant certification require
- Experience in healthcare administration, medical office, or related field preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems such as EPIC, eClinicalWorks, or DrChrono
- Knowledge of medical terminology and wellness visit processes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA, is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Flexible 8-hour shifts
Compensation:
$18 per hour
