Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed to ensure proper nutrition.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary.
- Monitor client health by observing changes in condition and reporting concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support memory care activities for clients with cognitive impairments, encouraging engagement and participation.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records in accordance with established systems.
Requirements
- Experience in home community care or similar caregiving roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and best practices for long-term care settings.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift and assist clients safely while adhering to proper techniques.
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills to connect effectively with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with hospice care principles is a plus but not mandatory.
