What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Front Desk Clerk/Night Auditor position at Quality Inn and Suites?
We currently have two positions that are either available or will be available shortly:
1) Night audit shift (11pm-7am) 2 shifts/week on average. Shifts will mostly be night audit (11pm-7am) shifts but potentially swing shifts as well (3pm-11pm). Night audit shifts are paid at a $0.75/hr increase over your base rate. Choice Advantage or other hotel reservation system experience a plus, but not necessary to apply for the position. Job is also perfect for current WSU-Vancouver and Clark College students as when hotel tasks are accomplished, we do allow work on homework!
Tasks are included but not limited to:
- Report promptly to work.
- Immediately greet guest and offer to assist with their needs upon entering the lobby/front office area
- Work effectively with other members of the Front Desk team to reach business goals.
- Register and assign guests to hotel rooms using the Property Management System
- Establish method of payment and verify credit.
- Make and confirm reservations via phone and in person.
- Compute bills, collect payments, and make changes for guests using the Property Management System.
- Transmit, receive messages, and wake up calls using telephones or PMS system.
- Set up breakfast before breakfast opens.
- Reconcile credit card payments between the PMS and payment processor.
- Respond to guest requests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Perform security and safety checks throughout the shift.
- Maintain safety of self, guests and company owned property at all times.
- Completing operational paperwork efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Cash control and paperwork.
- Work and communicate with co-workers and other departments via verbal and written manner.
- Assist in the breakfast area including set up or take down of breakfast; or assist guests with various needs throughout their stay.
- Complete Light Housekeeping Duties in the Lobby Area including but not limited to mopping, dusting, sweeping and window/door glass cleaning.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction and take appropriate steps to resolve any guest issues immediately via Q Service standards, report all incidents to supervisor or General Manager.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Follow policies and procedures as outlined in training.
- Successfully complete Quality Inn Choice University training within the first 30 days of employment.
- Communication and documentation of vital shift information via computer, log book and verbally to Team mates, Supervisor and General Manager every worked shift.
- Standing and ability to lift 30lbs required.
2) Full-time night audit position starting on 2/12. Same job description as for the #1.
