Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing various systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems, ensuring they operate efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, utilizing tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
• Read and interpret schematics to assist in diagnosing problems.
• Fabricate parts as needed to support repair efforts.
• Maintain hydraulic systems, ensuring they function correctly and safely.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or team members.
• Document all maintenance activities accurately for compliance and reporting purposes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with using diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
• Strong communication skills, demonstrating effective customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required by operational needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Statesboro, GA 30458 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Statesboro, GA 30458: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
