What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Quality Inn Danville?
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing machinery, equipment, or systems
- Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine the best course of action for repair
- Follow schematics, blueprints, manuals, and other technical documents to guide maintenance activities
- Repair drywall as needed, matching up finish to look seemless.
- Be proactive, PMing rooms three times a year to ensure everything is in running order.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of facilities
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with employees or tenants
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with welding and fabrication techniques
- Leadership skills to effectively manage maintenance projects and teams
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
