What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at Quality Inn & Suites?
We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and detail-oriented person who loves horticulture and creating land-based beauty.
General Duties:
• Develop and maintain all planters and gardens.
• Assess and update existing gardens and planters.
• Mow, trim, prune, weed, and plant as necessary.
• Prepare soil for new plantings.
• Install and water in new plantings.
• Compost, mulch, fertilize, weed, and irrigate per schedule and when needed.
• Install and maintain irrigation systems.
• Manage insect pests.
• Manage supply of mulch and compost, and chip and shred debris and pruning’s for composting.
• Routine cleaning of exterior grounds and building
• Raking leaves and clean the parking lost
• Routine water blasting walkways, doors and windows
• Seasonal cleaning of roof gutters
• Clean, protect, and maintain outdoor furniture.
• Take out all garbage and recycle bins- Tuesday pm/Wednesday am
Tree Maintenance:
• Prune per growing period
• Remove dead trees or fallen branches and cut, split, and chip for mulch as needed
