BREAKFAST ATTENDANT-JOB DESCRIPTION
DEPARTMENT: Breakfast
REPORTS TO: Breakfast Supervisor
STATUS: Part Time
JOB SUMMARY
The Breakfast Attendant- Is responsible for stocking and maintaining the food and cleanliness of the breakfast area during breakfast. This is an early morning shift. The breakfast attendant hours are 5:30am-11:30am. The set days are Saturday and Sunday. There is an opportunity for more hours in housekeeping.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- A valid Oregon food handler's card will be required. If you do not have one upon hire you will be asked to get one and reimbursed for the cost.
Requirements:
- Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
- Ability to be friendly and hospitable to guests
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure
DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
Essential:
- Proper Uniform must be worn each day with name tag
- Set up Breakfast for guests in morning
- Maintain constant upkeep of food, beverages and supplies provided to guests during breakfast hours
- Continually clean and pick up after guests to ensure a clean and welcoming breakfast area
- Converse with guests in pleasant manor, greeting them as they come in for breakfast
- Clean breakfast area once breakfast hours are over
- Save any food/supplies that can be stored and used again the next day.
- Lock up all supplies and breakfast area after cleaning for the day is finished
- Prep food and supplies for next day as needed
- Make sure meeting room is clean and has been vacuumed and is set and ready for next meeting.
- Make sure meetings for the day have any additional amenities they requested, ie: coffee & water service.
- Clean the lobby.
- Clean the main entryway.
- Clean the walkways on the 1st floor.
- Clean the 1st floor public restroom.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.95 per hour
