Quality Life Services is looking to add a Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) to our team. We see our employees as a part of our family.RESPONSIBILITIES : Develop or recommend a current diet manual to meet the needs of the residentsAssess and document the nutritional needs of each residentReview and plan all regular and therapeutic diets and menusReview resident's dietary profile, assessment plan and plan of care for residentsAssess and counsel residents regarding dietary allergies, likes and dislikes, appetites, food habits and therapeutic menusEvaluate and make recommendations regarding the serving time of meals, sanitation and food handling proceduresEvaluate and make recommendations regarding food service equipment, nutritional adequacy, method of preparation, taste, appearance, serving temperature and portion sizeAssist Dietary Departments in adjusting recipes for desired yield, ordering food and dietary supplies and communicating with residents and familiesMaintain a reference library of written material, current FDA food code manuals, OBRA regulations, diet manuals, etc. necessary for complying with industry standards of practice and OBRA regulations and that will provide assistance in maintaining quality food service.Ensure that menus meet the nutritional needs of residents in accordance with the recommended dietary allowances of the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Research Council, National Academy of SciencesComplete admission, readmission and annual assessments in Point Click CareAttend weekly Risk meetings related to wounds and weight lossMonitor alerts related to dietary issuesREQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or related fieldCurrent active Registered Dietitian License in the Commonwealth of PennsylvaniaTwo (2) year's experienceLong term care experience preferredBecome a part of the Quality Life Services family and apply today!ABOUT QLS : At Quality Life Services, we don't just accept differences — we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our residents, and our communities.
