This position will be based 90% of the time at the QLS Apollo, PA location with intermittent travel to the Butler, PA home office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a Medicaid Pending Associate, your primary responsibility is to organize and maintain all records relating to medical billing in an effective, efficient, and financially sound manner.
- Maintain an effective and organized system to submit accurate statements or resident charges to appropriate payers.
- Prepare and submit accurate and complete statements of resident charges to appropriate payers.
- Process correspondence related to reimbursement in a courteous, timely, and accurate manner.
- Participate in planning meetings to improve department processes.
- Verify accuracy of resident charges from all sources.
- Accurately track and collect reimbursements due from all private payer sources.
- Follow up on all account collection procedures.
- Facilitate inquiries, reconsiderations, and appeals to appropriate employees and payer sources upon denial.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Working knowledge of Long Term Care, Personal Care, and Independent Living billing/collections preferred
- Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, and Private billing/collections experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- High School Diploma or GED
