Job Overview :
The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for supporting daily accounting tasks, including handling vendor invoices, processing payments, and assisting with various reports. The ideal candidate will be proactive, friendly, and able to maintain professionalism while working with internal team members, customers, and vendors.
Requirements :
Key Responsibilities :
- Enter vendor invoices for the corporate office and plants.
- Verify invoice details, including approval status, account numbers, and discounts.
- Handle weekly check processing, matching invoices, mailing, and filing.
- Reconcile General Ledger and assist in generating financial reports.
- File and store documents daily and as needed.
- Provide backup for Accounts Receivable and assist with tax reporting and audits.
- Monitor and follow up on past-due invoices.
- Support the VP of Accounting with various tasks.
- Assist with other accounting-related duties and special projects as needed.
