What are the responsibilities and job description for the Block Production position at Quality Liquid Feeds Inc?
We are looking for a team-oriented individual who will help us continue to provide American Agriculture with the highest quality products. We currently have a full-time, Monday-Friday, 1st shift, Block Production position at our Dunlap, IA Facility. This individual is responsible for feed safety and quality by operating block cooker/cooling equipment to manufacture block feeds to specified feed formulations. This individual will operate automated or manual equipment, pumps, pre-mix addition systems, and routing systems to manufacture feed per established procedures. The candidate may also be responsible for performing cost-effective, preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance on plant facilities and equipment to minimize down-time within the facility. Candidates should have the ability to multi-task and learn multiple job duties. They must possess strong math skills. Candidates should also be able to lift 55 pounds on a regular basis, work at elevated heights and work in varying environments. Candidates must be willing to work various shifts and weekends depending on business needs. The ability to read and understand basic recipe type formulas as well as pay attention to detail in labeling product, ability to communicate, etc. is essential to the position.
