What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mixer Technician/Maintenance/Receiver position at Quality Liquid Feeds Inc?
We are looking for a team-oriented individual who will help us continue to provide American Agriculture with the highest quality products. We currently have a full-time, Monday – Friday, 2nd shift, Mixer Technician/Maintenance/Receiver available at our Dunlap, IA, facility. This individual is responsible for feed safety and quality by operating batch mixing equipment to mix feed ingredients according to specified feed formulations. This individual will operate automated or manual equipment, pumps, pre-mix addition systems, and routing systems to manufacture feed per established procedures. This individual will unload rail cars, trucks as well as inspect inbound bulk and bag ingredients, operate receiving equipment and distribute ingredients into the appropriate bin/tank following established procedures. This individual may also be responsible for performing corrective, and emergency maintenance on plant facilities and equipment to minimize down-time within the facility. Must be dependable and pay attention to detail. Candidates should be able to work in teams effectively and encourage a positive work environment, demonstrate ability to effectively trouble-shoot and use problem solving skills, have sound communication skills – both verbal and written, possess basic math and writing skills, have the ability to learn multiple job duties, be able to lift 55 pounds on a regular basis, be able to work at elevated heights, be able to work in varying environments and possess maintenance skills. We will train the RIGHT person.
