Field Service Technician

Quality Machine Repair and Engineering is a new and used machine sales, maintenance repair company. We are seeking a Field Service Technician to help perform new machine installations, machine alignments, and preventative maintenance. Experience working on new and used installations, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, CNC, PLC, electrical, servos, pumps, valves, rigging, and troubleshooting. Repairs to include stamping presses, press brakes, shear, ironworkers, saws, mills, lathes and used equipment. Job will require the person to travel to customers located throughout Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Michigan with occasional nationwide travel to perform new machine commissioning, service, and preventative maintenance. Travel is required 50 percent of the time, with overnight trips. 3 to 5 years’ experience is required. Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English with strong communication skills
• Experience in industrial mechanics and maintenance
• Solid mechanical knowledge, including schematics and electrical systems
• Familiarity with hydraulics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Experience in field service within manufacturing environments
• Ability to utilize precision measuring instruments
• Can work independently with little supervision
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on time management
• Prefer OSHA, IOSHA training, but not required
• Need to pass random drug and background checks
• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.44 - $38.46 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
