Inventory Control Clerk

Quality Manufacturing Corporation, a fast-paced metal fabrication company, is looking to hire an Inventory Control Clerk. This position is responsible for the tracking of inventory input and output, maintaining records and monitoring all inventory transactions. This role will be working alongside Finance and Production teams to resolve any issues related to inventory and must be highly detailed and meticulous.

Ability to work overtime as needed, is necessary, must be a dependable self-starter with a high attention to detail and able to work with minimal supervision. Must be a responsible and safety-conscious worker.

Requirements:

• Ensure all purchased items in the warehouse are accurately received from vendors and packing slips and other necessary documentation has been stored electronically
• Ensure all manufactured items in the warehouse are accurately reported as finished from production
• See to accurate inventory within the production areas, warehouses and system to ensure customer’s demands are met in the most efficient manner
• Cycle count inventory on a regular basis
• Investigate inventory variances, and get to a root cause with a solution
• May perform activities related to scheduling inbound and/or outbound shipments for outsourced operations
• Work alongside quality department to change inventory status of items that should be active/inactive for production and shipping
• Coordinate with material handlers to have items identified as obsolete and ready for scrap
• Coordinate system transactions for customer and vendor return items
• Demonstrates personal flexibility in approach and ideas & responds positively and supports changes in procedures, process, technology, responsibility and assignments
• Organizes and prioritizes work assignment to complete assignments/tasks on time, with quality, and has the ability to anticipate problem areas in advance
• Applies creative problem approaches and ideas to solve problems for area of responsibility
• Provides communication/interactions amongst team members, between teams and other areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• 1 year experience working with inventory software transactions preferred but not required
• Previous experience using D365, Dynamics AX, or equivalent ERP preferred
• Previous experience in manufacturing industry preferred
