Job Description
Job Summary :
Prepare accounts receivable transactions and processes customer payments, create invoices according to company practices and submit them for approval by management or clients, assist with any other office tasks when the need arises.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain precise records of all incoming payments
- Prepare and send invoices to customers
- Contact customers as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices
- Reconcile any irregularities in receipts
- Work collaboratively with accounts payable and other accounting staff to ensure accuracy in finances
- Audit all receipts on a determined schedule to ensure accuracy in accounting
- Generate and deliver reports to different departments as needed
- Actively investigate and resolve irregularities in both incoming and outgoing payments
- Assist in any other office tasks
Required Skills / Abilities :
Excellent phone, verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, adaptable.
Proficient with payment customer payment portals.
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, email, Excel.
General knowledge of QuickBooks.
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior exceptional work experience with any company preferred.
Some knowledge of the mat industry is beneficial.
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
