Job Summary
The robot tech “B” is responsible to assist in the direction of the department with assistance from the robot tech “A”, robot leader and department supervisor. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assist in the complete installation of robots from a single robot to multiple robot cells. Capable of writing complete programs. Repair and root cause problems to prevent reoccurrence. Troubleshoot equipment and assist in departmental expansions. Troubleshoot cabinetry wiring problems and correct if needed. Assist in the development of robot upgraders.

The majority of the time is spent in a normal plant/manufacturing setting. It will frequently be necessary to spend time on the manufacturing floor in a shop environment where the incumbent may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and/or equipment, loud noises, machining noise, warm temperatures, airborne particles, possible electrical shock, chemicals and fumes.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sits, stands, and uses hands, arms and fingers to perform routine tasks. Normal vision and hearing is required.

Responsibilities
- Ability to write basic robot programs
- Perform and record preventative maintenance as needed
- Mechanical and electrical ability
- Communication - Ethernet IP, Device Net and Remote I/O
- Maintain fixtures as required (shimming, clamps, pneumatics etc…)
- Repair/troubleshoot equipment, fixtures, and/or robots as needed and required.
- Keep open communication with other departments
- High school diploma or equivalent. College technical degree preferred.
- Robotic and/or weld training (resistance and MIG)
- Various robot training through a certified training facility preferred.
- Weld training for various types of welding used by robots preferred.
- Hi-Lo certified
- Electrical training or certification preferred.
- Skilled in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding skills and tools to perform tasks.
- Moderate skills in robot programming is a must (registry, I/O styles and programs).
- Good attitude and communication skills
