Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and results-driven Program Manager with experience in social work and counseling to lead, manage, and coordinate mental health and social service programs. The ideal candidate will be a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with expertise in supporting individuals and communities, guiding program development, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
In this role, you will oversee the successful delivery of mental health and social services, working closely with clinical teams, community stakeholders, and external partners to ensure client needs are met effectively and program goals are achieved. You will also conduct Diagnostic Assessments and CANS assessments to ensure that individuals receive the appropriate level of care and intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of social service and mental health programs, ensuring high standards of care and service delivery.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and support clinical and administrative staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to promote professional growth and team effectiveness.
- Diagnostic Assessments and CANS Assessments with clients in the field and office settings.
- Small Caseload for therapy
- Client Support: Maintain a small caseload of clients, providing individual counseling, support, and case management services.
- Conduct Diagnostic Assessments to determine the mental health needs and treatment options for clients.
- Complete CANS (Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths) assessments for youth clients to assess their mental health needs, strengths, and areas requiring intervention.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, and maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
- Program Development: Design, implement, and continuously improve program strategies, incorporating best practices and addressing the unique needs of the populations served.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on program outcomes, utilizing data to evaluate program success and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaboration & Partnerships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with external organizations, government agencies, and community stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness. Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW), Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Current and valid Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management or clinical care within the social services or mental health field.
- Previous experience supervising teams of clinicians and staff.
- Experience in developing and managing mental health programs preferred.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of mental health issues, social work practices, and clinical counseling techniques.
