Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, supply and demand, and price fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
- Inventory Management: Coordinate with store managers and distribution centers to ensure optimal inventory levels and timely deliveries.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all petroleum products meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Budget Management: Manage purchasing budgets and monitor spending to achieve cost savings and financial targets.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, market conditions, and supplier performance for senior management.
- Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the petroleum industry.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with procurement software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the petroleum market and supply chain management.
