Position Summary
The Fleet Card Salesperson will support the continued growth of Quality Oil Company’s private label Voyager Fleet Card. This position will be responsible for finding new opportunities to grow this new Fleet Card offering throughout a multi-state territory.
Responsibilities
- Successfully identify, close, and maintain Fleet Card sales to new customers in assigned territory by “cold” calling on accounts and developing leads
- Effectively present to C-level executives, small to large business owners, operators, and managers
- Present customer solutions using Quality Oil Company’s product and service offerings
- Maintain knowledge of products, market conditions, and competitive activities
- Be aware of industry trends that affect target markets
- Attend industry relevant trade shows, conferences, and association meetings to keep abreast of industry trends and develop contacts
- Create sales plans and forecasts while monitoring activity to ensure quotas are met or exceeded
- Build lasting relationships and provide superior service for customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience is required
- Previous Fleet Card sales experience is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to discover, negotiate, and close deals
- Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills to ensure focus on value-added sales activities
- Experience with the use of CRM’s
- Solid computer skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
- 75% of time will be travel related, with some overnight stays required
- Sales coverage area will be eastern North Carolina, southern Virginia, and northeast South Carolina. Additional travel outside of this area may be needed.
- Follow all company policies/processes and regulations for any sales actions
- Must have a valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and meet company fleet requirements
