Title: DGM/Diana Gluer Operator
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Employment Status: Full-time
Core Hours: 1st Shift M-F, overtime as needed
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to set up and run the DGM accurately to ensure the quality of products produced meets customers’ specifications.
Essential Functions:
- Read and understand instructions provided with the production ticket
- Minimize setup and run waste
- Complete job tickets and recap forms accurately
- Basic day to day maintenance such as greasing, blowing out machine and bander.
- Set and efficiently maintain the feeder/feed table, delivery section, spanker, glue system and glue head, jam detector, watermark, bundler.
- Pack product by counting number of pieces, checking for quality defects, and placing product into carton or strapper, as needed.
- Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Prep tooling for next production run.
- Assist the operator in striving to continuously improve best rates and reduce waste.
Qualifications:
- Must have basic math skills
- Must be able to read a ruler, both standard and metric
- Must be able to read and understand PDF drawings
- Must be able to work safely in a high paced manufacturing environment
- Must be able to follow all QPI established work safety rules and standards
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to follow direction, both written and verbal
- Must have a proven history of good attendance at former jobs
- Must have ability to make fine adjustments with both hands

Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
Physical Demands:
This position is required to stand and walk more than 2/3 of the time. Will verbally communicate and hear more than 2/3 of the time. This position does require the individual to lift up to 50 lbs. Close and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus are required to perform this position.
