Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a talented and professional Human Resource (HR) Specialist to join our team to assist and manage all human resource functions. The successful candidate will be passionate about recruiting, supporting, and evolving employees through our company’s guidelines and managing processes.
Main responsibilities will include tracking and maintaining employment records related to hiring, job changes, benefits and compliance. To excel in this role, you should be an excellent communicator, with in-depth knowledge of the recruiting process and labor regulations.

Main responsibilities will include tracking and maintaining employment records related to hiring, job changes, benefits and compliance. To excel in this role, you should be an excellent communicator, with in-depth knowledge of the recruiting process and labor regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Time and attendance tracking
- Benefits administration
- Process paperwork and data entry in payroll system
- Assist with payroll processing
- Creation of electronic newsletter (monthly)
- Maintain employment records related to recruitment and onboarding while ensuring compliance
- Assist with daily tasks pertaining to HR policies, procedures and communications
- Perform general administrative duties
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience with HRIS in prior role(s)
- Strong communication skills including oral, written and interpersonal, problem-solving skills
- Bilingual desired (Spanish and English)
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with great attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience with managing conflict resolution effectively
- Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of tasks and requests
- Solid computer skills in Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Human Resource position
- Associate degree in HR related field preferred or equivalent job-related experience
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must have the ability to navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
Comments: Position may require the ability to work before or after normal business hours and travel between Quality Packaging locations (FDL) to accommodate business needs.
