About the role:
- Supervises all activities related to operations and development of company services and products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors and personnel.
What you’ll do:
- Act as primary point of contact for all site level departments.
- Develops and maintains operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs and promotes an effective corporate identity.
- Develops and implements cost saving measures.
- Provides input to new production and services.
- Works with departmental supervisors and staff to develop, review, implement and monitor quality and production control standards and processes, ensure a safety-first production environment, and comply with budget including staffing levels.
- Provides guidance for ongoing assessment of production plans, including personnel requirements, material needs, facility needs, and tooling and/or equipment needs.
- Including but not limited to staffing levels / personnel requirements; production planning/scheduling.
- Coordinates production activities with all other functions of the site as well as vendors to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Generate and review production and operating reports; identify issues and directs resolution to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
- Daily production reporting for the site and corporate.
- Scheduling including communication of staffing requirements.
- Initial site level contact for:
- Conflict resolution involving HR when necessary and ensuring details are communicated to HR documentation.
- Safety issues that arise involving HR and/or Safety Supervisor when necessary.
Our ideal candidate:
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2-5 years related experience and/or training in production management in a manufacturing company; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
