Role Overview
As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee all aspects of nursing services within our healthcare center, which includes both skilled nursing and long-term care. Reporting to the Associate Executive Director/Administrator, you will play a critical leadership role in maintaining clinical excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development: Guide, mentor, and support a talented nursing team. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth.
- Clinical Excellence: Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, compassionate care that exceeds regulatory and professional standards.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Oversee adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations. Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives.
- Resident-Centered Care: Promote a culture of personalized, family-like care that meets the unique needs of each resident.
- Operational Management: Manage nursing budgets, staffing schedules, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and maintain quality standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: At least 3–5 years in a skilled nursing management role; prior experience as a DON or ADON is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with significant experience will also be considered.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams with professionalism, empathy, and integrity.
- Clinical Expertise: Strong knowledge of skilled nursing, long-term care, and regulatory requirements.
- Communication: Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage residents, families, and staff.
