Civil Superintendent/Manager – Industrial – Heavy Commercial

Quality “Plus” Services, Inc. is one of the fastest growing General Contractor on the east coast. We are known for our strong electrical and mechanical capabilities. We also have been providing Civil Services for Industrial and power utilities for fifteen years.

We are growing our home office staff and are looking to build our team around our selected Civil Superintendent/Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly oversees construction projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while also managing safety and code compliance.
• Peer Team/Management – Development
  
  

Working directly with QPS Construction Management Team.

• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Develop and prepare estimates and proposals.
  
  

Team Leadership

• Manage project budgets and costs, ensuring projects stay within allocated limits.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Lead and motivate construction crews, subcontractors, and other field personnel.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback.
• Resolve conflicts and address any issues that arise on the construction site.
• Manage and coordinate sub-contractors.
  
  

Safety and Compliance

• Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or deficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations
  
  

Communication and Reporting:

• Maintain regular communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit project reports, including progress updates, cost reports, and safety reports.
• Coordinate inspections with local authorities and private agencies.
  
  

Logistics:

• Manage the procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure that the construction site is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  
  

Team Building:

• Full responsibility for all craft interviews, hiring of key supervision personnel. Hiring carpenters, concrete workers, equipment operators and all general labor.
  
  

Skill Set:

• Must be able to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Set up and maintain benchmarks and survey points.
• Correct placement of embeds.
• Lay out of work such as.
• Electrical Duct Banks
• Slab on Grade & Foundations
• Back fill and compaction
• Equipment Operator skills
• Estimating
• Set up concrete deliveries, testing, placement of concrete and finishing.
• Good Computer Skills (BIM) (NAVISWORKS) Procore a PLUS!
