Key Responsibilities:
- Operation of Equipment:
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy construction equipment including bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, loaders, graders, and other related machinery.
- Operate Foundation Drills (Tacked and Truck Mounted)
- Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
- Site Preparation:
- Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing obstacles and debris.
- Excavate, grade, and level surfaces according to project specifications.
- Project Execution:
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to execute tasks such as digging trenches, backfilling, and loading materials.
- Experience with Slurry Drilling, caisson installation and vertical rock removal.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure coordinated project completion.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and report any mechanical issues or hazards immediately.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, equipment usage, and project progress.
- Report any issues or delays to the site supervisor promptly.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Provide updates on project status and any potential issues.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment.
- Certifications: Valid heavy equipment operator certification or license as required by local regulations.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in operating various types of heavy machinery.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Physical stamina and strength to operate heavy machinery for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
- Construction sites with potential exposure to loud noise, dust, and other environmental hazards.
- May require working overtime, weekends, and holidays depending on project deadlines.
