Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management and Planning: Oversee the electrical aspects of construction projects, including planning, execution, and completion. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead, motivate, and manage electrical teams, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure adequate staffing levels and that team members have the necessary skills and training.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce strict safety standards and adherence to local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations. Conduct regular safety meetings and audits.
- Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with other superintendents, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical work with other construction activities. Maintain clear and effective communication across the project team.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure all electrical installations are performed according to specifications and standards.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues that arise during the construction process, including technical challenges, scheduling conflicts, and resource constraints.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of electrical plans, permits, inspections, and work progress. Prepare and submit regular reports to senior management and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as an Electrical Superintendent, preferably in large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Certification or licensure as an electrician or electrical contractor may be required.
- This role typically involves working on construction sites, which may require exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and dust.
- Frequent walking, standing, and supervising on-site activities.
- May require availability outside of traditional working hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet project deadlines.
