Job Summary :
The Physical Therapy Technician supports physical therapists in delivering rehabilitation and therapy services to patients. The role involves assisting with patient care, preparing equipment, maintaining a clean and organized therapy environment, and helping with administrative tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with Patient Care : Help patients with exercises, stretches, and therapeutic activities as instructed by the physical therapist.
- Prepare Therapy Equipment : Set up and maintain treatment areas, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and sterilized properly. Prepare necessary equipment for each patient session.
- Monitor Patients : Observe and report patients' progress to physical therapists. Ensure patient safety during exercises and activities.
- Assist in Patient Movement : Help patients with mobility challenges, including transferring patients to and from therapy areas or devices (e.g., wheelchairs, walkers).
- Documentation Support : Maintain accurate patient records, including documenting daily treatments, progress, and any changes in patient condition. Assist with patient intake forms and scheduling.
- Maintain Therapy Area : Keep the therapy area tidy, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for both patients and staff.
- Collaborate with Team : Communicate effectively with physical therapists, medical staff, and patients to ensure optimal patient care.
- Assisting with Front Desk : A nswering phones, checking in patients, scheduling patients, verifying insurances, collecting copays, assisting with all other front desk duties
