What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Specialist position at Quality Services Moving?
Growing, veteran owned and operated moving and storage company seeks professional Claims Specialist to process household goods claims resulting from domestic and international relocations. Primary duties for our Claims Specialist role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Answering and directing incoming calls
- Receiving, researching, processing, and responding to household goods claims
- Communicating with customers, both verbally and in writing, regarding the status of their claim
- Creating, updating, and maintaining claims-related records
- Completing Notice of Claim forms based on claim settlements
- Scheduling appointments with customers and inspectors/repairers
- Providing other clerical and administrative support to staff as necessary
REQUIREMENTS:
- Thorough investigative skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A positive, service-oriented attitude
- Exceptional organizational skills and follow through abilities
- The ability to work quickly without sacrificing work quality and meet established deadlines
- Computer literate and financially savvy
- Minimum 1 year experience with the same employer demonstrating the above
*Knowledge of, or experience in, the insurance and/or household goods industry is a plus!*
