An Eastern Shore based government contractor in Stevensville, Maryland is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Welding Shop Manager. The Welding Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a small fabrication shop within the manufacturing facility to coordinate processes and maintain safety and quality standards. Salary : Starting at $66,560 / year – depending on experience
Job Type : Full-time

Essential Job Functions :
Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the welding shop, including production scheduling, material procurement, quality control, and employee supervision
Set up and improve shop processes, maintain high safety and quality standards, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Troubleshoot production issues, implement efficient production processes, and communicate with other departments
Generate requisitions for materials and supplies required for production, ensuring timely availability to meet project demands
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Experience Level : Mid-Senior Level
Education : Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Certifications : AWS welding certification
Previous welding experience
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Previous supervisory experience
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Schedule : Monday – Thursday, 6 : 00 a.m. – 4 : 30 p.m.
