Quality Staffing, Inc., also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search, a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the area's top companies, is seeking an experienced Custodial Worker to work through our agency as a contract employee with the State of Tennessee School of the Blind (TN TSB) located in Nashville, TN. This is an on-site position working from 2 : 00 pm to 10 : 30 pm Monday through Friday for a total of 37.5 hours per week. The pay rate for this position is $16.50 per hour. Custodial Worker Job Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to : -Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment : -Operate and / or utilize a variety of custodial related tools and equipment, including floor washing machines, buffers, and vacuums.-Handling and Moving Objects : -Move furniture-Performing General Physical Activities : -Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, wax, and buff floors by hand or machine.-Clean restrooms by sanitizing showers, toilets, cleaning sinks, washing floors and walls, cleaning mirrors, and emptying trash.-Clean offices by dusting furniture, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets, washing walls and windows, emptying trash, and straightening work areas.-Police grounds to pick up trash and check for any other needed maintenance.Competencies Needed for Custodial Worker position : -Time Management-Positive Attitude-Ability to Deal with Ambiguity-Composure Tools and Equipment Needed to be Skilled in Using for Custodial Worker position : -Floor Buffer-Vacuum Cleaner and Vacuum Cleaning Caddy-Riding Floor Scrubber-Wet Mops and Dust Mops-Window Squeegee Skills and Abilities Needed for Custodial Worker position : -Basic skill in managing one's own time-Basic skill in monitoring / assessing one's own performance to make improvements or take corrective action-Basic skill in troubleshooting to determine causes of operating errors in equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and other custodial equipment-Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with one's body, arms, and / or legs-Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects-Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentencesQualifications Required for Custodial Worker position : -Must be 18 years or older-Must have at least one (1) year of custodial work experience-Have a valid driver's license-Must have a stable work history-Experience with cleaning-High School Diploma or GED required Benefits Include : -Weekly Pay / Comparable Wages-Major Medical Insurance-Indemnity Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance-Term Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability Interested?
