Medical Technologist

Quality Staffing, Inc., also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search, a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the area's top companies, is looking for an experienced Medical Technologist to work through our agency as a contract employee with the State of Tennessee Department of Corrections (TN DOC) in Nashville, TN. This is an on-site day shift position working from 6 : 00 am to 7 : 00 pm. The pay rate for this position is $32.00 per hour. Med Tech Work Schedule : -A 3-3 rotation which consists of : -Week 1 - Monday OR Tuesday, Friday & Saturday-Week 2 - Sunday, Wednesday & Thursday

• Note : The week runs Sunday through Saturday; no special schedules or work 3 on-3 off. Med Tech Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to : -Provide direct daily living care for patients; bathe and dress, serve meals and help feed patients; turn or reposition patients who are bedridden, move, lift, and / or transfer patients using sliding boards, wheelchairs, or other required equipment.-Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, and doctors; examine patients for bruises, blood in urine or other injuries / wounds.-Clean and sanitize patient areas, change bed sheets, and restock rooms with necessary supplies.-Provide mental health monitoring.-Escort patients to the appropriate areas in the event of an emergency; rescues injured patients during the event of an emergency.-Make rounds according to the policy and procedure and account for each patient they are assigned utilizing the patient accountability check sheet.-Provide verbal de-escalation of agitated patients.-Perform Heimlich maneuver, CPR, and other emergency responses.-Able to lift 30-50 lbs.-Repetitive bending, stooping and requires walking much of the shift.-Able to work all shifts assigned each week. Education and Experience Required for Med Tech position : -Currently licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant / Technician or have experience equivalent to 1 to 3 years of experience. -Local to the Nashville, Tennessee area. Minimum Requirements Upon Hire : -Current American Heart Association / BLS CPR-Basic Life Support Provider that is active for at least 1 year
• we ONLY accept AHA / BLS, we DO NOT accept American Red Cross; we DO NOT accept online CPR certifications).-A 2-Step TB Skin Test
• must be willing to provide results of this test 2 weeks before starting position upon hire).-MUST be willing to receive Influenza immunization annually.-MANDATORY Orientation (4 days for techs); MUST be able to attend all days.-MUST be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
