Goddard Mason Executive Search, a dedicated division of Quality Staffing, Inc., is seeking a motivated individual to immediately join the team of our North Georgia-Metro Atlanta based equipment manufacturing client located in the Dawsonville, GA area as a MIG & TIG Welder. This is a Direct Hire opportunity working Monday through Friday on both 1st and 2nd shifts. The ideal candidate will have an hourly rate of $28-30 / hour plus Job Summary : using a variety of welding techniques, primarily Metal Inert Gas (MIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick), and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), to join metal components together by applying heat and pressure, often following blueprints and specifications, typically in a manufacturing or fabrication setting; requiring proficiency in setting up and operating welding equipment, selecting appropriate electrodes and shielding gases, and ensuring high-quality welds while adhering to safety protocols.Responsibilities : -Use welding equipment to join, cut, or shape metal parts based on blueprints or project specifications.-Weld in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead) depending on the project's requirements.-Perform different types of welding such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), Stick welding, and more.-Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand welding requirements and the assembly of parts.-Ensure accuracy in the welds by following precise measurements and specifications.-Prepare metal components by cleaning, grinding, or cutting before welding to ensure clean, strong welds.-Measure and cut metal using saws, torches, or other tools as needed-Inspect welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project specifications.-Test welds using non-destructive testing methods like ultrasonic or X-ray testing, if required.-Maintain weld quality by monitoring the welding process and making adjustments as necessary.-Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear (such as helmets, gloves, and safety glasses) to prevent injuries.-Adhere to all safety standards to minimize risks from welding equipment, gases, and heat.-Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained and used according to safety : High School Diploma / GED2 Years of Welding ExperienceAbility to read and follow blueprintsAttention to detailBenefits;-Annual raises & bonuses.-Overtime pay - very good opportunity not offered to many salaried positions!-Excellent Health, Dental, Vision, Short / Long-Term Disability, and 401k.-Discount programs.-Opportunity for growth!Quality Staffing, Inc. and our subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers and consider all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.#IN1
