Quality Staffing, Inc., also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search, a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the area's top companies, is looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to work through our agency as a contract employee with the Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation (TN EC) located in Nashville, TN. This is a hybrid position working from 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm Monday through Friday for a total of 37.5 hours per week. The pay rate for this position is $43.00 per hour. Procurement Officer Job Description : The Operational Administrative Services Team within the TN EC in Nashville is seeking a candidate to support the department through procurement and management of goods and services agency wide. The preferred candidate will have experience performing a wide variety of procurement-related functions, will possess a strong work ethic, be comfortable working with diverse teams, and competent to effectively handle multiple tasks and assignments daily. This position provides administrative functions requiring competent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Procurement Officer Responsibilities will include but are not limited to : -Reviewing and analyzing requisitions from various divisions across the agency to ensure they meet departmental policies and follow state procurement requirements.-Creating purchase orders for assigned requisitions and route them for the appropriate review and approvals.-Monitoring and following up with division staff on the status of open purchase orders.-Maintaining vendor files and performing periodic review to update records as necessary.-Have general knowledge of contracts and be able to read and understand contracts to ensure allowable costs and reimbursements are followed and appropriate prices are charged for goods and services.
