Growing Distribution Center looking for 1st shift supervisor.
The national, family-owned grocery wholesaler has associates and facilities throughout the U.S., with its largest warehouses in Springboro, Ohio and North Las Vegas, Nevada. The VWG North Las Vegas location mostly distributes dry goods. The company ships and receives product orders in pallet, layer, and case quantities.
Shift: Schedule Consists of, Monday - Friday, 5:30am-2:00pm.; Saturday, and Sunday Off.
Starting salary at $65,000

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma required, secondary education degree a plus.
- 5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting
- Understands Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Knowledge specific to Safety and Security Training
- Advanced computer skills including MS Word and Excel, as well as WMS software.
- Forklift experience strongly preferred.
ROLE CHARACTERISTICS
- "Hands-on" participation in daily warehousing duties (receiving, picking, packing, Quality Control, cycle counts, etc.)
- Excellent work ethic, including attendance.
- Understands Quality Assurance principles.
- Performs audits for metrics purposes (or KPIs)
- Stands for 3 to 8 hours at a time.
- Lifts up to 75 pounds.
- Moves product as a certified forklift driver.
- Withstands fluctuating temperatures.
- Quickly learns new systems.
- Excels in a fast-paced environment.
