Journeyman Machinists needed. The job will be located in Newport News, Virginia.
Pay rate from $28-30 per hour. If eligible, a non-local supplement of $10 per hour will also be provided.
We will assist in finding affordable housing as well.
Summary
As a Journeyman Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to produce high-precision components

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate machine tools to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery.
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education
- High school diploma or GED/HSED, required
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a machinist.
- Strong understanding of blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary : $10 - $30
