What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiography Testing Inspector Needed position at Quality Support Services?
Payrate: $36.00/hr plus. plus $10.00/hr per diem
Schedule: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday
MUST PASS A 90 DAY DRUG TEST AND A 10 YEAR BACKGROUND CHECK.
Position Summary:
A Radiography Testing Inspector is responsible for interpreting radiographs, performing specialized inspections, and organizing and reporting test results. You will be conducting inspections using X-Ray and Gamma radiography. Upon beginning work, this individual will need to study and pass written general theory, procedure specific, and practical examinations for RT inspecting piping, casting, and/or structural welds.
Qualifications:
- Must have 5 years of current experience in the field.
- Must provide valid documentation of certification of IRRSP from an approved entity (Within the last 3 years).
- Must provide documentation for current and preceding 3-year certification period containing training and experience records, results of all exams and vision tests.
- Must have performed inspection in the applicable methods within the last 9 months.
Preferred Qualifications:
Possess the ability to inspect confined spaces, stooping, bending, crawling, and climb when required. Demonstrated basic computer skills are required. Ability to read a blueprint.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and measure using the metric system
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems that may arise in certain situations
SAFETY:
Must comply with company, federal, state, and local safety and environmental rules and regulations while performing daily job tasks.
