Qualifications
- Valid LPN license and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Proficient in patient care and assessment, including vital signs monitoring
- Experience with catheterization, tube feeding, and medication administration
- Familiarity with EHR systems, particularly Epic and Cerner
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards
- Preferred experience in critical care, long-term care, and home/community care settings
Key Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding patient care. Your duties will include:
- Assisting CNAs with ADLs and routine care
- Conducting resident/patient treatments
- Administering medication as per physician orders and Plan of Care
- Submitting pharmacy orders
- Accurately documenting and maintaining patient records
- Administering prescribed injections
- Monitoring and communicating patient health updates to RNs, Supervisors, and Physicians
- Taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight, etc.)
- Basic wound care, cleaning, and bandaging
- Managing IVs and starting IV drips
- Observing and reporting any incidents, accidents, or skin breakdowns
- Assisting in the admissions process as needed
