Starting pay rate $15.50 per hour.

ACCOUNTABILITY/REPORTS TO: Position reports to the Plant Manager and/or Production Supervisor.
JOB SUMMARY:
Position is responsible for the orderly make-up of clean linen on each cart dispatched from the laundry to each user unit in the facility. Operator will be provided with a “packing list” destined for each user unit in the facility. The packing list will direct the position as to the linen items and quantities to be put on each linen cart. If linen is not immediately available position will proceed to the production floor to find the quantities needed or determine if alternative items can be substituted.
Position will be required to gather all unit or exchange carts from the cart wash or staging area. As carts may be damp, position will be required to dry off cart before loading clean linen. The packing list will be provided by a clerical or managerial individual. Position will work from this list to make-up each linen cart.
Operators assigned to this area shall have the physical strength to push/pull carts of clean damp linen having a weighted capacity of approximately 200-350 pounds. Operator will be required to roll cart (weighing approximately 100 pounds) from cart make-up area to the clean cart storage area. Position requires that operator regularly lift linen lots weighing between 35-40 pounds.
Minimum of High School education with a diploma and/or GED equivalent. Must be able to read, write and comprehend all written memos, directives, policies, procedures, forms and charts used by this department.
