Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and customer service skills, with experience in driving various types of tow trucks, including flatbeds. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for assisting customers in need of roadside assistance, transporting vehicles safely, and ensuring that all operations are conducted efficiently and professionally.
Duties
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed models, to transport vehicles to designated locations.
- Load and unload vehicles safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting stranded motorists with professionalism and empathy.
- Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicles are roadworthy before transport.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on tow trucks to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of services rendered and vehicle conditions during transport.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure safety for yourself and others on the road.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience with flatbed towing operations is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Physical capability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks associated with towing operations.
