Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services. As a Dispatcher, you will utilize your skills in transportation planning and management to analyze routes, communicate effectively with drivers, and maintain operational efficiency.

Duties

• Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for drivers to optimize delivery times.
• Analyze data related to transportation logistics and make informed decisions based on findings.
• Communicate clearly with drivers via phone systems, providing them with necessary information regarding their routes and schedules.
• Utilize AS400 systems for tracking shipments and managing dispatch operations.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Employ GIS tools to assess route efficiency and identify potential improvements.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while interacting with clients, drivers, and other stakeholders.
• Type reports and documentation accurately to support operational needs.

Skills

• Proficiency in transportation planning and management principles.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and make strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively relay information.
• Familiarity with AS400 systems is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with phone systems and dispatching operations is essential.
• Knowledge of GIS applications is a plus.
• Ability to maintain professionalism through effective phone etiquette.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 50 per week
