The position of an Automotive Painter entails prepping and painting of trucks / parts / equipment.
Communicate verbally with team members to keep a safe working environment
Transport trucks, parts, and components to and from designated areas
Spray paint, primer, clear coats and sealers per OEM specifications
Use hand and power tools to prep components for painting
Repair defects in the painted parts, vehicles, and components
Masking, taping, and hanging of parts and components
Hand sand, file, grind, and repaint when necessary
Complete paint finishing tasks
Wipe down components and apply multiple coats of paint
Maintain Clean work environment
Complete data and information sheets per company policy
Requirements
Knowledge of Manufacturer repair processes and adherence to OEM guidelines
Enjoy a highly motivated team atmosphere
Attend training and build on current skills and knowledge
Perform assigned tasks
Use and wear personal protective equipment as required
Use and control work tools for painting and spraying for varying amounts of time
See variety of paint colors
Differentiate shades of paint colors
Evenly apply primer and paint
Assist team members when needed
Identify defects and correct as needed
Push / pull a cart or dolly
Paint certain areas while crouching, kneeling, sitting, or in other awkward positions
Perform safe lifting
Climb steps to reach area that require painting
Individually lift and manipulate parts / components weighing up to 50 pounds
Detect hazardous materials near or around the work area
