What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Manager Diesel shop position at Quality Truck Care Center?
Quality Truck Care Center has an opening for a Service Manager.

Quality Truck Care Center is a Family owned business operating for over 35 years! We represent Western Star, Autocar and Mitsubishi Truck lines, Certified in Detroit, Cummins, and CAT engines, Allison and Detroit Transmissions and Axles.
**All employees are required to go through a background check; Motor Vehicle Records, and Drug Test.**
Duties are but not limited to:
- Open shop, turn on the lights, and unlock all the doors in the department.
- Edit and review time clock punches from the previous day for all the department employees
- Review work orders and PM’s from the previous day
- Schedule and distribute daily jobs to technicians.
- Send estimates to customers as needed.
- Open repair orders and review parts needs.
- Continually review jobs in progress, keeping customers up to date with jobs complete, defect write ups, changes to the repair requirements, changes to the estimated completion time, and update estimates as needed
- Review repair orders ready to close
- Prioritize workload based on needed completion times
Required Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the heavy-duty truck service business
- Good customer service skills and the ability to manage costs and personnel are a must.
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License, CDL preferred
Work Environment:
The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The employee is exposed to dirt, dust and fumes from the shop, as well as temperature changes due to weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
