Position Overview
Power your future with Qualus in our Field Engineering department as a Wireman. The Wireman is to perform wire pulling, wire termination, and control panel construction within substations and electrical facilities.
Responsibilities
- Reads prints, uses standard hand and power tools, and follows specific work instructions while adhering to all Safety and Human Performance fundamentals
- Inspect, test, repair, and maintain electrical equipment in generating stations, substations, and in-service relays
- Wires from point-to-point or schematics
- Install process piping and instrumentation
- Installs components per layout drawings
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Basic electrical knowledge in commercial, industrial, or utility projects
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables
- Ability to read company manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid Driver’s license and good driving record
